KES made up some impressive ground last week to find themselves camping just outside the leading 10 teams on this week’s U16 Boys Hockey Rankings.

Hilton College got handed their first defeat of the season when they faced a resurgent Westville outfit that put up a great defence to help claim a memorable win.

Oranje Meisies signed off this term’s matches with a 2-0 win over Affies and with that result lead this week’s Girl’s TurfTech Top 90 Hockey Rankings.

For the second consecutive week Hilton College were forced to settle for a draw when they faced the powerful Westville team in what ended up in a stalemate at 0-0.

It was the case of ‘one day you are the rooster , the next day you are the feather duster’ for Paul Roos Gym when they took on Paarl Gim this past weekend.

There is a minor change on this week’s U16 Girls Hockey Rankings with Durban Girls College sliding ever so slightly ahead of Menlopark to occupy the No.1 spot.

Realistically it is all very close at the head of the leaderboard with several teams worthy of leading the rankings.

This Week’s Boys U16 Hockey Rankings presents a very congested top section of the table with several teams that have made inroads into the leading group.

Grey College hung on as if their lives depended on it in their first outing against Paarl Boys High and if their 8-5 result was anything to go by, these two sets of teams have tough encounters ahead of them as they progress through the ages.
