Water Polo: Glenwood beat Westville

Glenwood continued to dominate against local schools with some solid performances in the pool against Westville this weekend.

wpg In the 1st team match, it was another solid four chukka performance from the team that saw them win a tough match 12-8. Structured attack and patience was the key to their success and much credit must go to Andrew Livingston and Joshua Richardson who played extremely well in controlling the game. For Joshau Richardson it was great to see him backing himself with some superb perimeter shooting. Kyle Westman led the scoring again with his best performance of the season scoring 6 goals.

The U15A and U14A sides again had solid victories. The U14A’s seemed somewhat lethargic in the water, but were deserved winners in the end. The U15’s were again the team of the day. They were had an outstanding game winning 9-5. Tristan Long and Dayne Odendaal were solid on attack with Brandon Staples again having a solid match.

Congratulations must go to the U14B team that finished the season unbeaten. The hours of training which included extra morning sessions has paid huge dividends to a group of players that have developed rapidly.
