Water Polo: Clifton's Dayne Jagga Selected for SA Men's Team!

It is a rare feat for a school athlete to be selected for the national senior side and but every so often a sensational talent comes along and rewrites the records books.

Dayne Jagga Clifton Water PoloA few years ago it was Chad Ho from Westville Boy’s High who, whilst still in Grade 12, represented South Africa at the Olympic Games in the open swimming event and this time it is Clifton College who have produced a water polo protégé of sublime talent.

Dayne Jagga, a Grade 12 learner from Clifton College who had earlier been selected for the South Africa U18 side has now been selected to the South African Men’s Water Polo Team that will take part in the Commonwealth Water Polo Champs in 2014.

Jagga will play alongside the best players in the country and against some of the world leaders in Water Polo in the Championships that will be held in Aberdeen, Scotland from the 5th to the 12th of April 2014.

If any school was going to produce such a star for the future it would be Clifton College who has invested plenty of resources to build up a tradition as a water polo powerhouse in the country.

Congratulations to Dayne Jagga on this incredible achievement.
