There is some massive hockey taking place this week and it is the Girl’s in particular that will be very busy with several high profile matches on the go and the much anticipated ISSF Festival taking place in Pietermaritzburg.

For the 18th consecutive year, Kearsney College at Botha’s Hill will host the country’s top tennis playing schools at a three-day invitation festival this weekend (24-26 May, 2013).

Rugby: Top 70 Rugby Rankings

Affies didn't play this weekend which gave their players what many would say was a well earned break after playing several gruelling matches on the trot. Even though this was apparently not Affies choice they did get the opportunity to recharge the batteries for a demanding season that lies ahead.

SA’s No.1 team, Outeniqua, have one of their easiest outings of the season so far when they face Punt and should be looking at using this match to rest some players and give others a run to maintain their form.

The hockey season promises to deliver some spectacular play and already we are seeing some traditional powerhouses losing ground to other teams who have seemingly closed the gap.

Cricket: Results for Week Ending 2 Feb, 2013

It was another packed weekend on the cricket fields around the country with some big match ups that have  provided some very interesting results.

On Wednesday, 4 May 2011, the Glenwood 1st Tennis Team travelled to Johannesburg for the annual Wayne Ferreira Tennis Tournament, hosted by Parktown Boys' High School. The 8 competing schools were divided into two pools of 4 teams each, with each pool playing a Round Robin to determine the top two schools in each pool. Glenwood's first match was played on Thursday morning against last year's winners, Stellenbosch  High. The game was a tough one, made worse by the absence of Jeandré Hoogenboezem, last year's School Champion, due to a hockey injury.
