The Graeme College First Team rewrote the history books this weekend when they clinched the Shaw/Brown T20 Trophy for the first time.

Perfect days on the cricket field are rare especially in school cricket where records tend to stand for decades without being challenged.

The history books of Graeme College however were re-written this past weekend when their two opening bowlers put in a performance that saw the opposition bundled out for a mere 25 runs.

Rugby: KES Easter Rugby Festival Preview

For the past 13 yeas King Edward VIII has hosted some of the top rugby playing schools from South Africa to their very well run Easter Rugby Festival and the 2014 edition promises to be a massive event.

In a first of its kind, two UK schools, Tonbridge School and Kirkham Grammar School, will play a benefit rugby match with the proceeds of the match donated to the Graeme College Scholarship Foundation which supports rugby players in difficult circumstances at the school. The match will be played on Wednesday 16 October at Ribby Road Kirkham Grammar School kick off at 14h30 (UK time) with live scores available on Twitter (@KGSrugby). This is also the first time the schools will meet on the field in a rugby match.

Victories by Paarl Gim, Affies and Grey College consolidated their status as the leading teams in the country as the second half of the school rugby season kicked off this past week.

CJ Velleman of Grey High School, a 2012 CW veteran,  will captain the Eastern Province U18 Craven Week side in Craven Week 2013.
