The latest U15 Powerade Performance Rankings shows how some schools have invested in this team to help boost their chances in 2016/17.

Published in National

In the closing stages of the season it seems that Rondebosch have timed their rise to the top perfectly as they recapture the Number 1 spot on the Powerade Performance Rankings for First Teams.

St. Stithians came unstuck against Jeppe during the past week in a match they would expected to win but they came up against a motivated Jeppe side who hung on gamely to win by 5 runs with the tail at the crease in a tense encounter. Saints also had to settle for a draw against Pretoria Boys High who doggedly staved off defeat. Tristan Blackie-Roden was in the runs again with a patient 94* but there was just not enough time for Saints to bowl PBHS out and take a much needed win.

The loss and draw by Saints bumps them back into second place not far behind Rondebosch who enjoyed a satisfying win against neighbours Wynberg who can thank Kyle Verreyne, who struck another half century, for providing some respectability to their score. The win by ‘Bosch nudges them to the top of the table.

Maritzburg College are having a purple patch of late with five victories on the trot and burst into the top ten for the first time in several seasons.
