Hockey Report: Bishops v Paarl Boy's High

Second domestic game of the season and Bishops faced a physical Paarl Boy's side with a 'never say die attitude'.

The opening 15 minutes was completely dominated by Bishops as they were all over the PBHS side. Numerous circle entries, and several shots on goal, but Bishops only had two goals, both from Tredoux, to show for this utter dominance. The next 15 was quite evenly contested as PBHS has a few attacks themselves and scored a PC through a straight flick. 2-1 at half time, and PBHS were right back in it. They were fired up after half time, and came out hard, but the Bishops defence held strong. Another PC goal from Tredoux took the score to 3-1. A few minutes later it was Plimsoll's turn to score as a well executed shotgun was turned in. PBHS scored a consolation goal. Final score 4-2. Not a very convincing performance, as 2 were conceded and many more could have been scored. A lot to work on during the week. Another 'bite and scratch' game next weekend against DF Malan and then onto the actual games after that.
